Hi dudes,

Good luck for the UEFA Cup

I am administrator of a communitty for the french speaking fans of Bruges

You can find some news about our favourite team
here is the link: www.fcbruges.net and you are of course welcome
You can speak in English..Norwegian is not understandable for us
To register it was easy toi understand but on the forum I don't think so.

We hope to go to the groups as last year and to finish in the 3 qualified for next round.

Cheers from Chimay (south Belgium)

Duj, fan of FC Bruges

Unfortunatly I can't go to Bergen because your country is too expensive for us..for the priceticket, to stay 2 nights in a 3 stars hotel, eat, drink some beers and the flight ticket it's a bout what a eblgian earn in one month..

Bergen..we have a town that has the same name in Belgium (also called Mons)

Who are your top players, and do you believe that Brann have a fair chanse against Brugge?
Speaking on my own behalf i don't believe we have any big chanses of advancing to the next round, but if we are lucky it might just happen. But we have to have our luck with us, especialy in the away match.

Tror Brann - Sampdoria for 18 år siden kostet 150 også! Hva annet kan man få for samme pris i 2007 som i 1989?

Helt ok pris.

Hickok

Med 150kr (200kr), så tipper jeg det kommer over 10.000. Brugge fyller vel fort hele bortefeltet alene (begge høydene)!

The majority of us think chances are fifty-fifty. Unlike the cyberheroes over here, most of us don't underestimate you.

Our "top" or most important players:

Stepan Kucera, central defender, °1984, Czech Republic.
Former Czech U-21 international. Tall, rock solid central defender whom we bought from Sparta Prague where he played in the starting lineup during the second half of last season. Hasn't played since the end of July though, because he fractured his zygomatic bone in the Supercup game against Anderlecht. From what I've seen from him, and being a Bruges season ticket holder for 10 years now, this one's heading straight towards the Premier League within the next two years. I think the Brann game away may be his first or second competitive game for Bruges, so I doubt he'll be at his best.

François Sterchele, striker, °1982, Belgian international. Last season's top scorer in the Belgian league in what was only his second season in the top flight (21 goals). Currently two goals in five.

Karel Geraerts, central midfielder, °1982, Belgian international. Allegedly hot property on the transfer market, but no way near his best form yet.

Ivan Leko, central midfielder, °1978, former Croatian international (13 caps). Currently our best man in the midfield with 3 assists and virtually a foot in every goal. Takes the penalties, free kicks and corner kicks. Gifted left footed passing skills, but not the quickest.

Other internationals:
Stijn Stijnen (Belgium's number 1 goal keeper): fabulous in one-on-one situations, but weak when it comes to high balls.
Michael Klukowski (CAN), left back, whom I don't rate very highly.
Philippe Clement (BEL), central defender. Tall, regular goal scorer with fearsome headers.
Brian Priske (in and out of the Denmark squad). I don't rate him very highly.
Koen Daerden (BEL), 4 million euro signing from Genk, but out for another four months.
Elrio Van Heerden (South-Africa). Injured, won't play the return game either.

Both of us have their share of internationals and play the top in our domestic leagues; but we are still struggling to rebuild a successful team after last year's worst season in 25 years, because we're fitting in 7 new players (four of which played last Sunday's game at Standard de Liège, and if Kucera would've been fit, he'd been there as well). Add to that that we have yet to play a game with the same starting eleven as the previous game, due to injuries and suspension.

I personally think only about a hundred Bruges fans will make the trip to Norway, with tickets in the away sector. The Club have teamed up with a travel agency who pay good money for the tickets and fit them into outrageously expensive two- and three-day trips, including all the luxury a real football supporter doesn't want (travelling in the same chartered flight as the team, tourist tours in the city et cetera). There's currently one available option through this travel agency, and it's 650 euros, ticket not included, based on a double room. Add 70 euros if you want a single room. Arrival in Brann on Wednesday 14.40, departure immediately after the game. You'd be a fool to pay that amount of money for a programme that leaves you no flexibility at all!

It's a bloody shame, and a disgrace, knowing we took 3500+ to bloody Sankt Gallen in a UEFA cup 2nd round just 6 or 7 years ago.

But there are of course a number of people who will make the trip themselves, and will try to buy tickets in the away sector, or between the home supporters on the matchday. In Turin 2 years ago, there were two away sectors, on both sides of the pitch, with roughly one thousand each: one with the "official travellers" and one with those Bruges supporters who planned their own trip and showed up on the day. Five years ago, it would've been one away sector with over 3000 fans.

Yeah, it's sad that Norway i such an expensive country. It's not cheap for us to travle to Belgium either, we can get cheap tickets to all the big cities like Amsterdam, Berlin, London etc. But there is allways an extra expence in getting from A to B after that too. I don't know how many who will take the trip from Bergen in our away match, but i guess about a hundred. I've heard rumors about Brugges great support, so I look forward to seeing you guyes, and the match against Club Brugge, and of course I hope that we get trough to the group stages of the UEFA cup this time.

What's the point of having tickets from matches you've not attended? Thats just the easy fake way of collecting. A pro collector have only got their own "products". There is no point for me to have a friends ticket to something, it's worthless.

In the other hand, my ticket from the cup final in Norway in 2004, is worth MUCH for me.

I'd have to absolutely disagree with you. Apparently you think all the "pro collectors" (what is that actually?) have attended all the games they own tickets from. Then you have absolutely NO CLUE about what's going on amid ticket collectors, or any collectors whatsoever.

Of course this single ticket will only serve to complete my collection, there won't be any emotional value attached to it, apart from the fact that in the future it will have added to the emotional value of having all 200+ tickets of the 4-decades-long, and fairly succesful for a 120,000 city, European history of my club. This of course in large contrast to the true emotional value attached to tickets from matches where we knocked out Dortmund to qualify for the Champions League, or our one-nil away win at San Siro, matches I HAVE attended, amongst many others.

Say for instance, you found a stunning 40-year-old Brann retro shirt on some flea market for no money at all. You wouldn't just leave it there because you weren't around in those days, or would you?
