Do you have any idea about aprox. how many birmingham fans are coming?
I know it is still a long time to july, but i hope it will be many supporters!

At the moment we know of about 11 Birmingham fans coming, but not all will be at the bergen game, some are coming just to stavanger some are doing all 3. most are doing stavanger and Bergen

We think that there will be around about 40-50 of us coming

we have another tour to Deportivo la Coruna in Spain in august and a lot of fans are going there

whilst we are in Bergen Dave and myself sre staying in the Crowded  House hotel/hostel.

Does anybody know where this is and what it is like. also are we far from the stadium and nightlife of Bergen.

Do the Bergen fans have a pub/ bar they drink in before matches that we can come to and have a few beers with you all

Cheers

Crowded House hotel is in the middle of the town... just a few metres from Fotballpuben (if i remember right) and to get to the stadium you have to take a bus or taxi... ask somebody at fotballpuben, they can guaranteed tell you how to get to the stadium....
mm...

Thanks guys !!

You are very welcome here. Is Pandiani going to stay with at your club?
What happened to Dugarry and is there any chance you can keep Forssell?

Cool situation you got in Birmingham now. The derby against Av seems to be the derby with the most hatred in England. Okay if I wear purple and skyblue? Just kidding. I support BCFC in those derbies.

thanks for the replys.

I Think we have a good chance of signing Pandiani, he wants to come, we want him, we just need to sort a fee out.

Forsell is a different matter all the Birmingham fans would love to see him back, but the longer its is the less likely it will be that we will sign him, he is unsure what he wants to do, he states he wants to stay at Chelsea and win a first team place, but we will wait and see.

There is talk that we are looking to sign Nicky Butt from Newcastle, i am not sure about this one he turned us down last year and went to Newcastle instead, the move has not worked out and his form has been very poor so i for one do not want him.

Also it is reported we are on the verge of signing Oliver Bernard from Southampton (ex Newcastle) again im not too sure about this one i dont rate him as a player.

we should find out more in the coming weeks when all the transfers start to happen, we will want to have our new signings sorted before we come to Norway so you guys may be lucky enough to see them first.

What is the capacity of your stadium ?
It says on some websites you have 5,000 seating and 12,200 standing...can you confirm this as all the pictures I have seen i quite cant see where you would fit 12,000 standing, and your seating looks a lot more than 5,000

Oh...and me and Phil arrive in Bergen on 16th July (Saturday), before we fly down to Stavanger would it be possible to BUY tickets for our game whilst we are there....Do you have a ticket office at the Stadium ? if so will it be open on Saturdays.

Thanks

Roughly the opposite - 12500 seats and 5000 standing. Last years average attendance was around 13500.

Maybe you can purchase tickets here: http://www.ticnet.no/Ticnet.html

You have to wait until the match is about to be played though. Around 10th of July or something...

Yes, and with new signings as long as they complete them in time.

Straffe!!!

But nevertheless I doubt it if there will be any problem getting tickets for this match.

In the middle of summer, against a (sorry to say it) not that interresting opponent (in a friendly) without a big crowd of norwegian supporters.

I would say 1000 - 5000 spectators, and you can probably buy tickets at the gate.

See you there...

Good! It will be great!
You have a lot of good players in your squad, like Upson and Dunn, I like them.... But where did Jesper go? Didn't you like Jesper?

Xminator

Hanstveit where halfway to ManU, got injured and where close to signing for Celtic after that.
Sæternes played for Brugge, and Kvisvik&Scharner where Austria Wien players.

So if its the first team we throw at you its talented players. The will to win aint always there tough :p

friendly76

I think it was more Jesper didnt like us and didnt want to play.

Im sorry but there is not many more interesting teams in the prem than us.

unfortunately the likes of Chelsea and Man u etc wont tour Norway as it is not commercially viable enough for them, for us its intersting, and guarantees good warm up fixtures against a fair standard opposition.
CFC NORWAY TOUR JULY 2005

Straffe!!!

By all means!

I see pretty much all the Brann-matches and find them all interesting, and look very much forward to making the acquaintance of Birmingham. But I doubt it if everybody sees it that way.

For example, in the unimportant game against IFK Göteborg in Royal League (the Scandinavian Championship - Brann were already out), attendance was a mere 1800.

Hope you enjoy your trip up here to Bergen, it is a fantastic city, especially when the weather is good.

I was hoping to go to the game as I used to know Maik Taylor when he played for Farnborough many moons ago, but like a lot of people in this town I'll be on holiday then.

friendly76

i am looking forward to meeting up with many Bergen fans and sharing a few beers before and after the match, and having a few laughs.

what is the nightlife like in Bergen, is there many pubs and clubs and are they open on a tuesday

Yes indeed - Just ask Dylan Macallister and Charlie Miller!

Tittis

You are lucky if you are staying at the Crowded House. The football-pub is just across the street. After the drinking u will be in bed in about 47 seconds..
See you there and...
Welcome to Bergen !

(I have to add that 18th of July is a monday so dont expect it to be a wild nightlife,  but i bet the footballfans will be there for you)

Well I guess that most of the things has already been said on the previous pages so all I can say is: Welcome to bergen, we look forward to having you here :D
